We wanted our special day to be a celebration of our life together. It was to be the pinnacle of our 6 year relationship.
The week prior to the wedding saw much rain but we were fortunate enough to be blessed with a perfect, sunny day for our garden wedding at UQ St Lucia. It was a serene setting to celebrate our love.
I was overwhelmed by emotion when I saw my 95 year old Pop proudly coming towards me as I walked down the aisle. It seems he couldn’t wait until after the service to congratulate me! But as I laid on eyes on my husband to be, I felt such calm come over me. I was there to marry my best friend.
The landscape and buildings of the university provided a beautiful backdrop for our photos followed by some fun shots when we stopped at the rugby fields. We then headed to the city for our reception in our vintage limousines. Our reception had a modern, romantic theme to compliment the amazing views of the Story Bridge and Brisbane River. It was the ideal setting to wind down, relax and enjoy the company of our family and friends.
It was a perfect day that we will always be able to remember with such clarity as Toni’s photos have captured every moment so vividly and flawlessly.
My advice to future brides would be to accept all the help you are offered, dont try to do it all on your own. The day flies by so fast and although you will want to speak to everyone, make sure you also take a moment together to sit back and take it all in.
