A quick glimpse of Nathan & Jenna’s absolutely gorgeous Maleny wedding on April 11. I cannot wait to bring you more from this very special day.

In the past I’ve always had a few rules as to when I simply will not work. Like Anzac Day, December - it’s just too hot, and Easter. There’s something about eating chocolate for four days that has always appealed to me. But I have bent the rules in the past - like taking the odd December wedding, so when Andrew & Cassie enquired about their Easter Saturday wedding I thought long and hard. I figured it’s not like I actually go anywhere anyway, and I can still live with three days of chocolate. Little did I know what the future had in store, and that I’d get me one of those things they call a boyfriend who actually wanted to go away with me for four days. Whoops. That’s the nature of this industry. It does take time away from your loved ones, but I can be thankful that at least I got to spend it with an awesome couple like Andrew & Cassie!!
We clicked from the moment they walked in the door. Another reason that made it easy for me to want to work on Easter Saturday! We share a very dry, very sarcastic sense of humour, and I knew instantly we’d have so much fun working together.
Cassie was getting ready at her folks house where there was a very calm, and relaxed feel. She was also joined by Andrew’s daughters who made fabulous junior bridesmaids. They were so excited to play their part in their Dad’s wedding day! What I love most about Cassie is her no nonsense attitude, and the way she goes about getting things done.
The ceremomy took place at victoria Park Golf Course in the garden marquee. It’s not until you see these two with eachother, that you realise just how good they are together. They do nothing but constantly laugh and giggle with eachother. It’s hard for them to keep a straight face for any longer than a second, before they just burst out laughing. And Cassie does love to laugh!
We set out on a tour of some of my favourite locations to get some photos, before having to be back over at Vic Park for the reception for the party to begin!
After which I went home and ate some chocolate
Thanks guys for such a fun, and stress free afternoon full of laughs! xxx
The slideshow, check it one time….
Ummm, nothing to see here….move along…..
Big thankyou’s go to Brett & Lauren for referring Andrew & Cass to me…
With the run of recent bad weather, we simply couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate Steve & Shantelle’s wedding towards the end of March.
Shantelle was one of my bridesmaids many moons ago at the wedding of her good friend, Kali, who also returned the favour in being Shantelle’s bridesmaid. The girls were getting ready at The Emporium hotel. This hotel recently was struck off my favourites list, as apparently they no longer allow you to have photos in the uber cool bar area, unless you’re having your wedding reception there. Major downer. But due to a cockup on the hotels behalf, on this occasion they let us in. So after we spent much time laughing at the view of a giant Sexpo billboard adorned with a model with a very close likeness to that of Peter Andre, we did end up making our way downstairs and getting a few shots around the place.
Steve and the boys were over at St Oliver Plunkett church at Cannon Hill, awaiting Shantelle’s arrival. i’ve got to say, Shantelle was pretty nervous. I think everybody was. As I stood in that aisle watching as one by one the girls came past me, every single one of them was crying. Happy tears i’m assured!!
From there it was off to Captain Burke Park, and the Powerhouse for some photos. That bridal party were one crazy bunch of people - but so much fun to work with! Once the sun had gone away for the day, it was then a matter of getting over to Gianni’s Portside where a very energetic entrance was made into the reception!
Thanks again guys for a fabulous day. (P.S. Kali, can you say tsunami for me again??)
And here is their slideshow….
iPhone anyone??…
Some images from Nathan & Bec’s very happy wedding last Saturday, April 10.

A couple images from a very special wedding last Friday.

Last month saw us off to celebrate the wedding of Joseph & Tanya. Their wedding was held at Toowong Uniting Church, where afterwards they held an afternoon tea to enjoy spending some quality time with their guests.
I think it goes without saying that Joseph & Tanya are one of the sweetest couples you could hope to find. They are so content around eachother, and their faces just seem to light up when they so much as look at eachother. And there was no way you could wipe the cheeky grin of Josephs face all day long. You could tell he was so proud to be Tanya’s husband.
After their ceremony, we then headed over to the Toowong Botanic Gardens, where we had a little bit of light rain - but nothing to worry about. Tanya & Joseph had a great bridal party who made for some light entertainment and kept everyones spirits high. Joseph had also helped in meticulously planning the day, so it all ran exactly to plan and right on time. We headed up the mountain to The Summit at Mt Coot-tha in perfect time for the reception!
And lets finish on a slideshow…
It has been nearly a year since we’d been up to Mt Tamborine, but Ben & Kim’s wedding has us once again heading up the mountain for their wedding at Tamborine Gardens.
There’s not much I can say about Kim except that she ROCKS. I’m not sure if she’d been practicing in front of a mirror for the last year, but it was really difficult to take a bad photo of her. In fact, all the girls looked simply stunning, and made easy work of getting their photographs taken.
The ceremony took place on the perfectly manicured lawn of Tamborine Gardens, under the watchful eye of their family and friends, whilst I had a watchful eye on the BOM radar. Dark clouds were threatening to rain down at any time, and send us all flying to the cover of the chapel, but thankfully, that never eventuated. Ben looked so happy as he waited for his bride to arrive - a stark contrast to how nervous Kim was feeling as she waited to walk down the aisle. Once she saw her man though, her smile returned - and her nerves seem to disappear.
Immediately after the last family photo was taken, the rain stared pouring down. We quickly sought shelter, but Ben & Kim were not going to get to cool their heels. We bunkered down and put them to work with some up close and personal romantic shots. Once the shower had passed, it was back out into the thick of it as is nothing that even happened! We took advantage of the lovely grounds, before quickly getting up the road for a wander in the forest. Ben & Kim pushed on through the chill in the air, and the wet grass - nothing was too much trouble. Ben & Kim are such an amazing couple - and the fact they’re just so damn good looking - well that was just a bonus!
Ben & Kim, we laughed so hard all day with you guys - you made our job easy, and gave us a good time doing it! Thanks for being so awesome!
Slideshow anyone?
Like a tiger….
My Mum is so glad I have a boyfriend. It was photos like these that really used to worry her…
If I were ever to get married, I would love nothing more than for my future husband to have this very reaction to seeing me walking down the aisle. Just melts your heart.
