Simon & Elishia were married on a stinking hot February day, at the picturesque Topiaries at Beaumont out at Samford. We didn’t mind putting up with the heat, as long as the rain didn’t arrive!
Elishia did look pretty damn good in her pale pink dress, which you could literally get lost under. Once she warmed up in front of the camera she found her rythym and got some gorgeous photos!
Simon & Elishia’s two dogs attended the ceremony to see their Mum and Dad tie the knot, in front of their family and friends. Afterwards we took the couple off for a brief photo shoot, before returning them to to the reception (and to enjoy the candy bar!!)
Big thanks go to my friend Rick Faulks, for coming out to shoot with me since Poo is off on his South American adventure.

A collection of Rick’s images…

I’m exhibiting at my very first bridal expo this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Ideal Bride Expo being held at the RNA showgrounds. I’m shooting a wedding on Saturday, so Rick and Courtney will be holding down the fort, but I’ll be hanging out on my stand Friday evening, and all day Sunday.
Even though I’m almost fully booked for 2009, I’m hoping to meet lots of brides planning 2010 weddings. I have half a dozen passes for free entry into the expo, if you’d like one just let me know!
See you there!

Right about now I’m pretty speechless. My parents have docked back in South America after their expedition down to Antarctica, and my Mum has been busy updating her blog. I’ve been sitting with my mouth wide open, pretty blown away by some of the images she has posted. It really takes your breath away. Considering Mum is only shooting with a G9, I can’t wait to see Poo’s images. I’m so glad they’re having a wonderful time, and seeing such amazing things.
At Saturday’s wedding, the limo had just arrived at the church, when the driver got out and said to me “Where’s your Dad?”. Christopher Thomas who was working with me at the time must have felt like chopped liver, but I’m sure that Poo will be pleased to know that his presence has been missed!
I’ve lifted this picture from my Mum’s blog, showing a penquin getting up close and personal with Poo. Nice outfit Daddy!!

A few weeks ago, I set out to catch up with Mathew & Sarah for their E-Session down at sunny Wellington Point. These guys get married in April, the day before I head off to shoot my sisters wedding. On what will be a very busy weekend, I’m sure these two will kick it off in style!

I’ve known Konrad since before I was born. He’s like the brother I never had. And now he’s a Dad himself! On January 17, Konrad and his partner Iris, welcomed their daughter Emily into the world. Before Emily was born, I made them both promise they would have me up to the hospital within the first day or two so I could get her very first photos. I was so excited to get the call, and headed on out to the Redlands Hospital to see the new parents. Here is Emily barely 24 hours old….

Congratulations Guys! xxx
Disclaimer: After I post these kind of images I get enquiries to shoot kids and families. I feel the need to stress I am NOT a childrens or family photographer. I can take some nice photos, but it’s not what I do best. I limit any portraiture to friends, family, and my wedding clients. If you’re looking for some awesome kids/family photographers, then you simply must check out Kym Berry or Juanita Broderick.

It was my birthday on Sunday, and not only did my best friend cook me up a restaurant quality dinner (love you Kel!), but I also had to drop off my parents to the airport as they set off on another one of their adventures.
This time they’re headed to South America and Antarctica. Yeah I know, nice work if you can get it. My Mum, not one to be outdone, has actually set herself up a blog so that my sisters and I can follow what they get up to. So now it’s going public. If you’re so inclined, humour my Mum and go and check out her blog. Just remember that when she tells you to “be good, and look after the dogs”, she is talking to me, and you’re not required to come around to my place and run any errands!
I am awfully proud of Mum and Poo. The things they get up to for a couple of oldies, puts a lot of people half their age to shame. Mum sent me this picture today of them from Argentina after getting themselves completely drenched…
